I apologize banyak-banyak for keeping this post on hold for quite sometime...after Chap Goh Meh baru mau blog about my Chinese New Year holidays pula kan! I've been quite busy with that and that and yada yada.....
So the wait has come to an end people! Bandwidth killer I may warn you. And before you proceed I apologize lagi banyak-banyak because you will soon witness the no-skilled photography of me...I took all the photos with my trusty 2MP Sony Ericsson only la! No money want buy DSLR!!!!But I'm turning 21 this coming July *wink wink*
Chinese New Year Carnival 2007
I went to the Chinese New Year Cultural Carnival in Gaya Street with The Boyfriend and his family. I think I went on the last day of the carnival because Gaya Street was extra packed! Stage concert, some local singer performing...etc... Upon reaching KK area, the traffic jam was almost like the traffic jam in KL after the working hours and we couldn't find a parking anywhere! So we just went round and round the street hunting for a parking, even the fireworks could not wait for us! The fireworks was launched?/dilepaskan?/dibakar? and it was preeeeeeeeeeeeeetay! We parked our car at the side of the road to witness the fireworks.
shaddap lar I know my skill damn hopeless.
The fireworks on the left picture is something new to me because when the firework meletuped?/bursted? some red lanterns look-alike was floating around the big black sky and vanished upon hitting the ground.
So we finally found a parking just opposite the ship, yeah you heard me right, I said ship, the KK City Ship
And then I malas want to type already...Here's some pictures
Nin Chu Yit
In case you're wondering, 'Nin Chu Yit' means the First Day of Chinese New Year in my family's dialect. So as you all have already known, I went back to my kampung in Tambunan. The place used to be as cold as Kundasang punya! But don't know why now so damn hot la!
The Fortune Ladies are here!!! Sorry blur photo. My hands were shaking because I was too excited of the ang pows I'm getting. wtf.
My family have this tradition; every Chinese New Year there is some 'stages' we have to go through.... First Stage-Giving out ang pows
Mothers are seated at the sofa and all sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, in-laws will have their turn to receive ang pows from each of the mothers. Now, we can't simply go to them lar, we have to wait for the eldest grandchild of the family till to the youngest and then of course, 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' is the password to the ang pows la. Second Stage-The second generation session
Yearly photo sessions of the Fathers and Mothers with the Big Boss, my grandmother. Then it's the couples photo session, the all-fathers session and the all-mothers session. Third Stage-The third generation session
The cucu-cicit photo session, that will be us! Sorry lar no photos because I'm in it mah! Haven't got the photos from my uncle yet. Fourth Stage-The Big Boss session
The family photo with the Big Boss. This is a candid shot la. See how my dad isn't ready and my grandmother looks like as if she's talking to my nephew. Fifth Stage-The Family Session
Family photo session. I'm a happy girl! Sixth Stage-The cam-whoring session
