The Beginning of Endings |
I've decided that mizzlucy dot blogspot dot com will no longer be updated anytime soon. As you can see my blog is update only once in a blue moon, not because I'm too lazy to blog or I've nothing to blog about but it's because I've realized that I'm not ready to expose myself to the world just yet. Believe me, I've a loooooooooooot to blog about, complete with pictures for the purpose of blogging but everything seems to be too personal. After going through my previous posts, I realized that I do regret some of my too-personal posts and exposing a piece of my personal life for the rest of the world to see is a little too much for me. Heck, I don't even know what I'm trying to say here....What I'm trying to say is blogging isn't about getting attention from everyone else or promoting this and that...it is about recording your life so when you look back you will know that you have learnt something albeit being wiser.
No.....I am not deleting my blog or anything nor will I delete everything that I have posted here. And no, this does not mean that I am leaving the blog community completely because I've decided that instead of being a blogger, I will be a blog stalker! A self-proclaim hardcore blog stalker queen wtf...!
Till we meet again people!...Who knows I might post some crap here some time...Goodbye! Muaks muaks! xoxo (not inspired by Gossip Girl wtf)

opposites attract. one of the most overused cliches ever and yet no one really knows just how far in truth it really is.
common stars if not identical yet we hail from total opposite sides of the world sharing little common interest if almost none.
how do two people with such adverse differences get along so well yet annoy each other so much at the very same time. things she loves he hates or has no care for and vice versa. how do they compensate. and how long can they actually do it before one finally breaks.
fights. rarely does one ever occur if almost never since the longest time ever. each keeping something inside rarely to ever let it be known. little things. little unimportant things held inside in fear of causing a fight. perfect harmony and peace. a more favorable environment indeed.
but just how long can two people from two different worlds really stay together. can this really last forever?
forever. a formidable word indeed. |

The *gasp* weight issue |
Okay, so here's the deal; a month ago, as soon as I touched down Kota Kinabalu, I dashed to the weight scale to check on my weight and my weight was far from being 'normal'. I was painfully underweight. I am naturally stick thin till to the point of being accused of being anorexic o_0 and while back in campus I never have my breakfast, just brunch and if I slept till 4 or 5pm (after spending the whole night doing my assignments...okay, watching dramas), I might as well have dinner, right??? And I don't do exercise and dieting(is that a word?) is never my cup of 'char'. I just cut down on my daily dose of chocolates and junkfood if I feel bloated and it's usually went Aunt V comes to visit wtf. And this contributes to my very-underweight-weight.
So back to the present, just last night I stepped on to the weight scale and found out that I've gained weight. I've gained 5kg in a month! And woohoo I've finally reached my ideal weight
And now, I have a question...should I be worried for gaining that much weight in a month??? Am I gaining too much in such a short time??? And guess what I just found out the first paragraph on this post showed how my eating habits are soooooo.......unhealthy..haha!
Anyway, the purpose of this post is just for the sake of updating this blog wtf...where is my spirit of blogging!!!!!!!????? |

POLYGAMY: Yes or No? |
I've been meaning to blog about this last week, but I have been busy with work but I guess it's better late than never, right?
Oh well,
While having my breakfast at tiffany's wtf one very early morning, I came across the following article on Daily Express;
Friday May 23, 2008 Call to ‘teach’ women on polygamy raises heckles
THE discussion on problems afflicting the Syariah Courts caused a ruckus after Ibrahim Ali (Ind – Pasir Mas) called for a campaign on the concept of polygamy to be taught to all women to end such problems.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Islamic Affairs, Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, fielded questions from the Opposition on delays in settling Syariah cases with Zuraida Kamaruddin (PKR – Ampang) saying it was “very painful” for a woman to have to go to court three separate times to settle a case.
“A woman has to go once for the divorce, once again for custody and again for property division. It is extremely painful for them.”
Fuziah Salleh (PKR – Kuantan) then asked if Syariah Court counsellors were qualified, pointing out that she had received numerous complaints about how the woman was always blamed for everything.
“They are not counselled but given 'advice.' And every time, they are told that the woman is to be blamed. If it is a family problem, they must be patient. If they are beaten up, they must also be patient,” she said.
As Ahmad Zahid was about to answer, Ibrahim stood up to say that such cases would not stop happening as the population was increasing and divorces were taking place daily.
“Such problems happen because women cannot accept polygamy. From a preventive point of view, what about doing a big campaign so that women can accept polygamy?” he asked.
Ibrahim said women did not understand that when they were pregnant for nine months, or had “problems” when they hit their 50s, their men still wanted to “have fun”.
“So the man wants to marry again, and the wife gets jealous and asks for a divorce.”
This caused Zuraida to stand up and say that a gender approach was very demeaning.
Ahmad Zahid agreed, saying: “That man is a male chauvinist.” To this, Ibrahim giggled.
When Ibrahim said that it was allowed from the Islamic point of view, Zuraida hit back and said men must be held to blame, too.
When the House finally calmed down, Ahmad Zahid said although prevention could also be looked into, what was important was to take care of the family.
Now, you tell me, how not to get mad like that???
Quoted,
"If it is a family problem, they must be patient. If they are beaten up, they must also be patient" <--My god...SHE should be beaten up instead, to all asshole-husband out there, if you feel like beating your wife, please go find this lady-bitch and beat her up instead.
"women did not understand that when they were pregnant for nine months, or had “problems” when they hit their 50s, their men still wanted to “have fun”." <--bravo for labelling ALL MEN as perverts and sex-maniacs which I believe is not true; the reasons for rape are written all over this article.
I would really like to personally meet the inhumane people who said this and give them a bitch slap on their face. Then permanently numb their penis so that they will not get an erection for life.
Eventhough I never agree on polygamy but with all due respect to their religion, I do understand why they allow polygamy because a few of my muslim friends have explained to me. But nothing prepare me for the reasons stated on this particular article. Imagine if women from other countries read this article...what will they think? And imagine the people they will report this to...
Haihz...This kind of people also got...such a waste of space. |

This is for you. |
After a total of 18 years of studying, I've finally finished my last paper...after 18 years of studying!!!! Even if I've decided to take a Master, the experience will be totally different...I have mix feelings right now, part of me really wanted to end this and go back and looking forward towards earning my own money but part of me wanted to stay and still be called a student, being a dork with my friends everyday, complaining about assignments, and regretting about not studying earlier for a paper...Aaaarrrgghhhh!!!!....I hate changes...I really do.
First Year, First Semester
I got close to my roommate, Hui Ling, a STPM-er from Klang. She introduced me to her hometown friends, and we got along really well. Unfortunately, because we're taking different course, we drifted apart coming to the second semester, but we still do remain close friends until now.
Studies was really tough for me because being a Science student, my knowledge of computer was just email and chatting only! So being exposed with all kinds of programming language, editing softwares, network systems was like a cultural shock to me. Even my results was the worse compared to other semesters!!!
First Year, Second Semester
Assignments became more interesting like my first experience shooting a documentary
And my group even won The Best Documentary Award during the Multimedia Nite!!! Not bad for a beginner, huh?
And then there was Drama Nite, where all actors transformed into 'actresses' and vice versa.
"Romeo and Juliet...And Brad Too!"...I was Romeo!!!
And we even got 2nd place for our play!
I got to make a lot of new friends here...We got so close, that we were inseparable. I have to say that my first year, second semester was one of my best semesters to date. It was fun with no stress at all!!! Gosh...miss those days...
Second Year, First Semester
My second year, I was chosen as UMS-KAl's first Unduk Ngadau and Kumang Gawai!
No lah...Actually it was one of my close friends, Noreen who won!
For the first time, I got to wear a baju sumazau!!! I insist on participating on joining the sumazau dance performance just because I wanted to wear the baju!!Hehe...
Second Year, Second Semester
Indian Culture Night
Okay lar, I admit it. The main reason why I wanted to get involve with the Indian Culure Night was because I really want to wear a Saree!!!
Third Year, First Semester
UMS-KAL tamu gadang! It was one of the biggest events held in Labuan and even Fiq from Mentor was there. I was not a fan of his but heck, he's a celebrity! He actually looked like Anuar Zain though.
We call ourselves the BLB and Gaietech gang...Damn perasan. That will be another story for a different post, okay.
Assignments, assignments, assignments!
Shooting for our video clip, The Evolution of Music (search for it in Youtube!)
We became The Beatles!
We became the Village People!
We became Coolios!
We became The Backstreet Boys (excuse the make-up)
And even Good Charlotte!
And next, shooting for our first short film, thriller category.
I was Pontianak bin Hantu!
Third Year, Second Semester
This semester was the busiest and most torturing semester!...Buttttt....We still manage to find sometime to catch up with friends...
BBQ for all Multimedia Students
BLB and GaieTech Gang dinner
Eventhough there were ups and downs during my years in UMS-KAL. But I must say, those were the times I will cherish no matter how old I get. Because here, I got to meet a lot of great friends! It's hard leaving my campus life but life must go on.
To my friends in UMS-KAL, Thank you for making me feel at home here.
To my friends in SSIL, Thank you for your being there with us.
To my friends in Multimedia HC12, Thank you for your support during our journey.
And finally,
To BLB and GaieTech Gang, You guys were the best thing that ever happen to me in UMS-KAL. Thank you for always always always being there for me. Thank you for not ditching me when I was being a total noob. Thank you for not letting me down. Thank you for caring for me. Thank you for supporting me whenever I feel like falling. Thank you for giving me the best experience. And most of all, thank you for being my friend.
I love you all! I really do! And please forgive me if in any ways I've hurt either of you... |
